Adult Discipleship & Evangelization

"Now that very day two of them were going to a village seven miles from Jerusalem called Emmaus, and they were conversing about all the things that had occurred. And it happened that while they were conversing and debating, Jesus himself drew near and walked with them, " Luke 24:13-35

Welcome,

to Immaculate Conception's Adult Discipleship & Evangelization page. Each year we strive to offer a variety of opportunities for you, as adults, to encounter Christ through a greater understanding and knowledge of our Catholic Faith, a deeper desire to meet our Lord in prayer, a heart yearning to serve others and an environment for long lasting fellowship and community. Even though things may look a little different this year on account of our current circumstances, I am convinced God is at work. Below are a number of opportunities we plan to offer this year; stay tuned for any changes or updates. Feel free to contact me with any questions, an interest in joining one of our current groups or guidance and ideas on how to start a study group of your own.

'The Search' by FORMED.org

What is this journey in between the event we call “birth” and the one we call “death”? Is the journey taking you somewhere, or are you leading yourself to some kind of destination – a destination that could extend beyond your last breath? What do you want from your life during the in between? The questions are there. And, the answers are too.

'The 99' by Ascension Press

“What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ Luke 15:4-6

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

A Journey into the Catholic Faith

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, better known to some as RCIA, is a process where a team of trained leaders walk with and help form those seeking a deeper understanding and love of our Lord, Jesus Christ and His Church. This process is a combination of growing in knowledge through intellectual study, in prayer through spiritual formation, in charity through pastoral formation and in community and fellowship through human formation. Learn more about the RCIA opportunity by clicking here

Information Meeting will be held again in the Fall of 2021
